Marine science data analyst with scientific research experience and strong people skills,
What I'm looking for
My background combines scientific research, environmental communication, and hands-on experience working with complex environmental data. At ACZ Laboratories, I work with soil, plant, fish, and invertebrate samples and conduct analytical testing related to mining soils and environmental conditions. This experience has strengthened my attention to detail and my ability to interpret data and understand the importance of accurate, well-supported information when making environmental decisions.
At the University of Rhode Island’s Prada Lab and Wildlife Genetics and Ecology Lab, I worked on a range of marine and wildlife research projects involving DNA analysis, eDNA, genetic diversity, and species monitoring. I independently supported research that was reported to the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, giving me experience connecting scientific findings with the agencies and decision-makers who use that information.
Beyond the laboratory, I have experience in oyster aquaculture research, phytoplankton surveillance, marine field instruction, and public-facing science communication. These experiences have shown me that good environmental work is not just about collecting data—it is about making that information understandable, relevant, and useful to the communities it affects. I am particularly interested in roles that sit at the intersection of science and the public, where I can use research to support well-informed decisions while building relationships, communicating complex ideas, and engaging diverse audiences. I am excited to bring my scientific background, communication skills, and people-oriented approach into environmental marketing, community outreach, and conservation work.
