What I'm looking for

I'm looking for a remote, hands-on cybersecurity role focused on security operations, network security, security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management. I want to contribute my experience with Linux, firewalls, SIEM, IDS/NIDS, network analysis, and incident investigation while continuing to grow in a technical cybersecurity career.

I'm a Cybersecurity Analyst with 6+ years of experience in security operations, network security, incident response, vulnerability management, and digital forensics. I currently work at PDVSA, where I progressed from Technology Security Analyst to Technology Security Superintendent while remaining hands-on in technical security operations.

My experience includes administering Linux-based firewalls using iptables and FwBuilder, managing VLANs, bonding, bridges, proxies, and logical access controls. I monitor network traffic and security events using Wazuh, Snort, Wireshark, and tcpdump, and investigate security incidents from detection and containment through analysis and technical reporting.

I also perform vulnerability assessments with Nessus and have hands-on experience in digital forensic investigations using tools such as Autopsy, OSFClone, and WinHex. My work includes analyzing evidence, documenting findings, assessing technology risks, and supporting remediation activities.

I'm particularly interested in remote opportunities as a Cybersecurity Analyst, SOC Analyst, Security Operations Analyst, Network Security Analyst, Information Security Analyst, or Vulnerability Management Analyst, where I can contribute my experience in Linux, firewalls, network monitoring, incident response, SIEM, IDS/NIDS, vulnerability management, and security operations.
