At Universidad de Las Américas, I co-developed an optimized immunofluorescence protocol for thick liver sections, published in Biology Methods and Protocols in 2025. I was a co-first author on the work, which combined Sudan Black B autofluorescence quenching with antibody-specific antigen retrieval.
In the Cancer and Liver Regeneration Research Group, I contribute to studies of liver regeneration, injury, steatohepatitis and hepatocellular carcinoma. I acquire microscopy images and analyze them in Fiji/ImageJ, then use GraphPad Prism to test group differences and prepare publication-quality figures.
I also trained new lab members and supported research operations, including protocol optimization and reagent preparation. As a Molecular Biology I & II Teaching Assistant, I taught hands-on lab sessions and guided students through troubleshooting and data interpretation.
