Carlos Burgos

I’m an Embedded Systems and Industrial IoT Engineer who builds real-world hardware and firmware—bridging sensor integration, mixed-signal electronics, and industrial control. I’ve developed embedded prototypes and performed embedded validation and debugging in international R&D environments, especially for agricultural and forestry applications.

In my recent freelance work, I designed and deployed an IoT-based irrigation automation system using distributed sensors and actuator control, and I created electrical schematics and wiring diagrams aligned with RETIE and IPC standards. Earlier, as an Electronics Engineering Intern at STIHL, I developed C/C++ firmware for IMU and MEMS sensor systems, designed multilayer PCB layouts in Altium Designer, and ran structured embedded validation workflows. I also supported control engineering learning by developing PID/fuzzy/discrete controllers and simulating industrial thermal systems in MATLAB/Simulink for controller tuning and lab validation.
