I'm a cybersecurity professional with a background spanning government security assessments, cloud security architecture, military systems administration, and network operations. In my current role with the NC Department of Public Safety, I run vulnerability management programs (Tenable Nessus) and DISA STIG compliance assessments across 80+ government IT assets, identifying and reporting 1,000+ security findings. As a System Administrator with the Air National Guard, I design and build automation pipelines using PowerShell and Microsoft 365 tools that save teams hours of manual work each week.
My graduate coursework in Azure cloud security has given me hands-on experience designing RBAC, Key Vault, and Zero Trust network architectures, and I run a self-built home lab with Wazuh and Splunk SIEMs, Suricata IDS, and Grafana dashboards to keep my detection engineering skills sharp. I hold an active Secret clearance (currently upgrading to TS/SCI), CompTIA Security+, CySA+, and PenTest+ certifications, and I'm pursuing an M.S. in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance through Western Governors University.
I'm looking for remote or Raleigh, NC hybrid opportunities as a Cybersecurity Engineer, Cloud Security Engineer, Vulnerability Management Engineer, or Information Security Engineer, where I can bring my mix of hands-on government assessment work, cloud architecture, and automation experience to a team.
