What I'm looking for
I've built backend systems for Tencent's WeChat Channels, serving 1B+ daily active users, 10B+ daily video views, and 10M+ daily posts. As core architect and lead developer for its video monetization task system, I delivered an end-to-end platform for creator tasks, engagement, revenue sharing, settlement, and payouts.
I designed the settlement subsystem with multi-party reconciliation and simulation models, achieving 100% settlement accuracy for cash transactions and supporting monthly creator payouts exceeding RMB 1 million. The platform handles 10,000+ concurrent tasks and integrates real-time data flows across Finance, Ads, and Data Platform teams.
I also co-led WeChat Channels' video playback strategy, reducing playback stutter from 5% to 1.5% and start-up stutter from 3.7% to 0.9%. Through player-engine improvements, bandwidth prediction, CDN scheduling, H.265/H.266 adoption, and bitrate algorithms, we reduced average bitrate by about 38.5%, raised pre-load hit rate to 97.67%, cut wait time by 62%, and increased dwell time by 23%.
Previously, I led Tencent Meeting's on-premises media transmission module for enterprise deployments, redesigning it into cloud-agnostic Docker containers and supporting 100,000+ concurrent users per cluster. I bring C++, Java, Python, distributed-systems design, and an academic foundation spanning computer science and accounting.
