I am a software engineer with four years building mobile apps and backends, mostly in Flutter and Python, and more recently Rust for desktop work. I do the whole thing myself: code, tests, signed builds, servers.

Currently I work remotely for Taggedweb, a US agency, on Vi4sion, an indoor navigation app for blind and low-vision students that New York University is testing. I built the Flutter app and the FastAPI backend, trained an LSTM step counter on phone motion-sensor data (94% on the test set) and exported it to TFLite so it runs on the device, and built camera obstacle detection with TensorFlow and OpenCV.

Before that I spent two years at IT Bridge Nepal shipping Flutter apps and FastAPI and Django backends for a finance product, an invitation service and a restaurant POS, setting up JWT auth, Docker images and the deployment pipeline for each. I started as a Flutter intern at Axios Softwork, working on Nivid Guru, an academic app with 5K+ Play Store downloads.

On the side I build and release my own products:

- Nudge, a voice-driven desktop agent for Mac and Linux in Rust and Tauri. On macOS it finds targets through the accessibility tree so clicks land on real controls. 10 signed and notarised releases, 494 tests in CI. nudge.runmycrew.com

- Nakhatra, a Vedic astrology site on Swiss Ephemeris with an AI reading you can question by text or voice, in English, Nepali and Hindi. 254 charts cast in its first ten days. nakhatra.com

I also teach Python and Django. I wrote a syllabus covering models, DRF, auth and deployment and taught it to 15+ students, each finishing with a deployed project.

What I am looking for: a remote backend or full-stack role, ideally FastAPI or Flutter, at a company that hires internationally. I work as a contractor from Nepal, invoicing monthly or through Deel or Remote.com, and I have kept US Eastern hours for a US team since 2024. UK, European and Australian hours also work well from my time zone.
