I design, synthesize, and characterize small molecules and functional materials for industrial R&D applications.
What I'm looking for
I've designed and synthesized stimuli-responsive organic fluorescent materials at AcSIR/CSIR-NIIST, delivering dynamic, high-contrast, reproducible solid-state luminescence switching for smart optoelectronic applications.
I connect molecular and supramolecular structure to performance using single-crystal X-ray crystallography, absorption and emission spectroscopy, and fluorescence-lifetime analysis. I also supported fabrication of stable, uniform thermochromic films for an interdisciplinary smart-coatings project.
During a research exchange at Japan's National Institute for Materials Science, I synthesized a ladder-shaped 9,9'-bifluorenylidene cyclic dimer through nickel-mediated Yamamoto coupling and confirmed its structure by NMR. Earlier, I developed a green one-pot reductive amination method using a bentonite-gold nanohybrid catalyst.
I'm ready to bring hands-on organic synthesis, purification, structural characterization, and rigorous technical documentation to an industrial R&D chemist role in biotech, pharma, or materials science. My work has contributed to four peer-reviewed publications and 11 conference presentations, and I've mentored four graduate project students.
