Medical Billing & Health Information Management Specialist with 13+ years delivering accurate, compliant claims.
What I'm looking for
I’m a detail-oriented Medical Billing and Health Information Management professional with over 13 years of hands-on experience in medical billing, insurance claims processing, patient data management, and electronic medical records (EMR) administration within a major university health facility.
In my most recent role, I managed end-to-end medical billing for both cash-paying and insurance patients, serving a health facility across 40,000+ students, staff, and dependants—ensuring accurate charge capture, documentation, and submission for every billable service. I also spearheaded the establishment of a dedicated NHIA unit, transforming a poorly integrated function into an independently operating billing and claims department.
As Insurance/NHIA Manager, I led systematic audit and reconciliation work that recovered over ₦30 million in outstanding secondary care bills by identifying unpaid claims, improving documentation, and following up to completion. I processed and submitted insurance claims to HMOs, performed routine insurance enrollee validation, flagged ineligible patients and impersonation cases, and applied ICD-9/ICD-10 coding to support accurate billing and morbidity reporting.
I’m equally focused on data integrity and audit readiness: I handle daily high-volume EMR data entry, retrieval, cleaning, and Microsoft Excel reconciliation, and I operate with strong GDPR/data privacy compliance. I’m now seeking a remote Medical Biller role from Warsaw, Poland, where my accuracy, compliance mindset, and claims expertise can directly improve reimbursement outcomes.
