Backend software engineer building fault-tolerant distributed systems and data pipelines for enterprise platforms.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Backend Software Engineer II focused on building reliable, scalable distributed systems. At JPMorgan Chase, I designed and delivered an event-driven automation platform that integrates enterprise communication channels using Kafka-based workflows, cutting initiation latency from hours to seconds.
I also engineered a fault-tolerant large-scale data migration system processing 1M+ records with zero data loss using AWS S3, Glue, SQS, and asynchronous consumers, including parallel execution, reconciliation, retry recovery, and end-to-end integrity validation. For long-running business-critical operations, I implemented Temporal workflows with resilient execution, automated failure recovery, and compliance-friendly auditability on Kubernetes.
Before that, I strengthened my backend foundation through an Adobe internship building a C++ video delivery framework with streaming APIs for adaptive bitrate, caching, failover recovery, and production readiness checks. Earlier, I contributed to protocol-level performance work at Texas Instruments (IXMODEM in C and Python) and supported students as a teaching assistant for algorithm and mathematical programming courses.
Experience
Work history, roles, and key accomplishments
Designed and built a distributed event-driven automation platform with Kafka workflows and DynamoDB state tracking, reducing workflow initiation latency from hours to seconds and enabling secure cross-account communication. Engineered fault-tolerant data migration for 1M+ records and implemented long-running Temporal workflows for critical customer operations in Kubernetes environments.
Built a C++ video delivery framework for Acrobat Desktop and implemented core streaming APIs for adaptive bitrate selection, client-side caching, failover recovery, and dynamic content refresh. Conducted performance testing and reliability validation across staging environments, adding URL verification and resilience checks for production readiness.
Designed and implemented IXMODEM, a high-throughput communication protocol extending XMODEM, using C and Python. Improved transfer efficiency at high baud rates through protocol-level optimizations (adaptive packet sizing, reduced overhead, and enhanced error recovery) and benchmarked performance to increase channel utilization.
