Ashly Ramirez

I support children and families through my work with Calexico Unified School District, the City of Calexico Recreation Department, and the Cancer Resource Center of the Desert.

As an Instructional Assistant-SPED substitute, I assist teachers and students with diverse learning abilities, including academic, behavioral, and personal development needs. I communicate with students who use both spoken language and communication devices.

In recreation, I managed scorekeeping, helped set up programs, supported volleyball and basketball activities, and communicated with participants and parents. I have also volunteered as a youth basketball and volleyball coach, demonstrating skills and drills for participants.

I'm completing a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and gaining internship experience supporting patients affected by cancer through documentation, filing, follow-up calls, and paperwork assistance. I bring bilingual English/Spanish communication, organization, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
