Ashish Prajapati

Embedded systems engineer building Linux device drivers and high-performance protocol stacks.
What I'm looking for
I’ve spent 15 years developing firmware, Linux device drivers, and networking-protocol software for embedded devices and server platforms on Linux using C.
At Dell Technologies, I’ve owned end-to-end delivery of the iDRAC out-of-band server-management firmware features for NIC/FC/IB/DPU adapters—especially config, inventory, and monitoring over NC-SI 1.2. I also redesigned and optimized the Virtual Address Management and Persistence Policy (VAM/PP) apply path across warm/cold-reset and SCP import/export flows, fixing release-blocking persistence defects.
I’ve built adapter Core / Crash-Dump diagnostics for field serviceability, with VDM/RBT transport and export to local/remote shares (NFS/CIFS/HTTP/HTTPS/FTP/TFTP). I root-caused high-severity crash/core-dump issues across power-cycle stress, racreset, FW-update, and SCP import/export, delivering fixes across release branches and server generations.
Earlier, at ALTEN Calsoft Labs, I worked on a high-performance IPsec VPN Gateway using an Intel DPDK fast-path datapath, including async parallel packet processing and certificate validation offloaded via a helper process. Before that, I developed and debugged IEEE 802.11 protocol stack/driver paths, and built an 802.11p DSRC Linux wireless driver mode for Locomate OBU/RSU with DSRC channel-switch timing and IOCTL controls.
Experience
Work history, roles, and key accomplishments
Owned end-to-end delivery of NC-SI 1.2 command suite for iDRAC server management firmware, implementing adapter communication over I2C and PCIe transports. Designed and built adapter core/crash-dump diagnostics feature and resolved multiple release-blocking defects.
