Angela Dsouza

I’m a CSE graduate student with strong experience in backend development, REST APIs, full-stack systems, and OCR pipelines. I like building reliable features end-to-end—from API design to user-facing interfaces—so solutions work smoothly in real workflows.

In my internships, I built a React Native healthcare workflow app with role-based navigation and modular architecture, plus real-time monitoring screens that visualize IMU sensor data using interactive graphs and live backend API updates. I also collaborated on UI/UX using Figma, turning wireframes and prototypes into responsive interfaces.

I’ve also developed immersive VR learning applications using Unity, XR Interaction Toolkit, and OpenXR, including hand-based UI interactions, quizzes, timers, and real-time feedback in VR scenes. I created VR assets and visual content using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.

My projects reflect my focus on intelligent, user-friendly systems. In SafeEats, I implemented an OCR pipeline using Tesseract to extract ingredient text and an NLP workflow with Groq and MongoDB for allergen recognition. In HearWell, I built an Android app that converts mic audio into hearing-aid readable audiograms using Kotlin, Firebase Firestore, Superpowered, and AudioTrack.
