At Keep, a fintech company, I worked on compliance, financial infrastructure, fraud/risk, and user-facing workflows. I’ve led initiatives from defining the problem and technical approach through implementation, testing, and deployment. Some examples include reducing infrastructure costs by 50%+, automating a FINTRAC reporting process that reduced processing time from over an hour to about five minutes per transaction, and improving business-owner onboarding by experimenting with UX, copy, and educational content.
I enjoy collaborating closely with Product and other teams, questioning assumptions when something may create unnecessary friction for users, and breaking complex problems into smaller, testable iterations. I also enjoy mentoring engineers, reviewing code, discussing architecture, and helping teams move ambiguous projects forward.
Technically, I work primarily with TypeScript, Node.js, React/Next.js, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, AWS, Docker, Terraform, and GitHub Actions. While my focus is backend and product engineering, I’m comfortable working across the stack when the problem requires it.
I’m particularly interested in products where software has a tangible positive impact on people’s health, safety, education, financial access, infrastructure, or quality of life. I’m also interested in distributed teams, early-stage or growing products, and roles where engineers have meaningful ownership and can work closely with product and users.
