Educated women and families on preconception, prenatal, and postnatal health to reduce Infant Mortality in Hamilton County, Ohio. Collaborated with health facilities and other organizations to achieve optimal outcomes for all women, children, and families.

Managed all patient’s admittance to the hospital to ensure the best outcome for the patient. Coordinated staffing to ensure each unit was adequately staffed and attended all specialists and family case conferences to discuss care plans.

Conducted home visits with first-time mothers through their pregnancies and until their child turned 3 years old. Empowered mothers to have healthy pregnancies, care for their babies with confidence, and build strong families.

Cared for laboring women and their support team, as well as women, children, and their support team postpartum. Managed newborns in the special care nursery.

Cared for children in the emergency department. Transported critically ill children from surrounding hospitals without neonatology or pediatric intensive care units to Dayton Children's Hospital.

Cared for critically ill pediatric patients from the entire South Pacific Basin. Learned and aided the Islands Holistic Healers to support their cultural beliefs.

Completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, gaining foundational knowledge and skills in nursing practice. Graduated in May 1992.
