Amasa Ruwandee

I’m an early-career digital marketer building my skills across digital and growth marketing, with a particular interest in how creative ideas, consumer insights, and data can work together to drive meaningful business results.

I’ve completed my Certificate in Digital Marketing at the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) and am currently pursuing a Diploma in Digital Marketing. Through my studies, I’ve been developing my understanding of digital marketing strategy, content, social media, branding, and the different ways businesses can use digital channels to reach and engage their audiences.

Before moving toward marketing, my professional experience in retail sales and customer care gave me valuable hands-on experience working directly with customers. It strengthened my communication, problem-solving, relationship-building, and customer service skills, while also giving me firsthand insight into consumer needs, preferences, and decision-making. I see this experience as an important part of my marketing perspective because effective marketing starts with understanding the people behind the numbers.

I’m particularly interested in growth marketing, content strategy, social media marketing, brand storytelling, consumer behavior, and performance-driven campaigns. I enjoy the balance between creativity and strategy, especially exploring how content, audience insights, experimentation, and data can be used to attract, engage, and retain customers.

At this stage of my career, I’m looking for remote opportunities where I can gain hands-on experience, contribute to real marketing projects, learn from experienced teams, and continue developing into a well-rounded digital and growth marketing professional.

I’m fluent in both Sinhala and English and am open to opportunities where curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to learn are valued.
