What I'm looking for

I’m looking for an academic role where I can advance translation testing and evaluation methods, strengthen quality assessment with docimology and item response theory, and contribute through teaching and peer review in a research-driven environment.

I’m an Assistant Professor in Translation Studies, specializing in translation testing, translation evaluation, and quality assessment. My Ph.D. research was trained around holistic and analytic approaches, with a focused development and evaluation of Preselected Items Evaluation (PIE) and Optimised Preselected Items Evaluation (OPIE) methods.

Across my research interests, I work at the intersection of translation and technology, drawing on language testing and docimology. I also explore measurement foundations such as item response theory and Rasch analysis to support reliable, generalizable, and decision-valid translation assessment practices.

I actively contribute to the academic community as a reviewer for internationally recognized journals, and I publish in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. In teaching, I cover translation and technology, research methods and data analysis, language testing, translation research methods, and academic writing—always with an emphasis on assessment models and evidence-based evaluation.
