What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a data science role where I can build and optimize deep learning models, strengthen data preprocessing pipelines, and use HPC to deliver reliable, high-impact forecasting for real-world domains.

I’m a Data Science Researcher building deep learning models that translate complex data into actionable forecasts. My work includes developing, optimizing, and publishing an IEEE conference paper using LSTM networks to forecast regional energy consumption during major hurricane disruptions, achieving up to a 70.6% reduction in Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) versus legacy baselines.

I also engineer end-to-end data preprocessing and hurricane-aware feature engineering pipelines in Python with Pandas, Scikit-learn, and TensorFlow/Keras, and I scale training workflows by leveraging high-performance computing (HPC) cluster resources (CARYA). Beyond research, I served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant—Data Science—supporting 40+ students with weekly office hours to debug Python and C++ code, clarify data transformations, and evaluate architecture and design requirements, while partnering with faculty to manage course infrastructure and grading rubrics.
