Akuma Tom
@akumatom
I lead enterprise, savings, and cooperative development initiatives for resilient community livelihoods.
What I'm looking for
I lead enterprise and savings initiatives with Village Enterprise across Bidibidi and Rhinocamp Settlements, supporting micro and small enterprises, savings groups, cooperatives, and market linkages.
I previously coordinated livelihood and cooperative development at CEFORD/HEKS EPER, helping producer groups and savings associations build sustainable, member-driven enterprises. My work connected smallholder producers to value chains, financial services, climate-smart agriculture, and entrepreneurship opportunities.
At CEFORD, I also managed technical vocational education training activities, from market surveys and trainer support to skills-network formation and field monitoring. Earlier, I supported UNDP’s Northern Uganda social cohesion project through partner coordination, monitoring, reporting, procurement requests, and knowledge sharing.
My background in banking, cooperative management, business, and economics strengthens my work in financial literacy, governance, financial management, reporting, and community-based savings. I work fluently in English and Lugbara and bring practical experience supporting inclusive livelihoods for women, youth, and marginalized groups.
