I’m a backend-focused Software Engineer who builds distributed, event-driven systems using Java and Spring Boot. In my current role at UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group), I work on production-grade microservices that support critical payroll taxation workflows across enterprise environments.

I engineer idempotent, fault-tolerant services with configurable retry policies, dead-letter queues (DLQ), and duplicate-input detection—cutting data inconsistency incidents by 60% across production quarterly cycles. I also support high-volume workloads (25,000+ files per quarter) by implementing monitoring and automated recovery pipelines to maintain high availability.

I take ownership of reliability through on-call work, resolving P1/P2 incidents within SLAs via root-cause analysis and permanent fixes. I’ve also enabled safer rollouts by applying semantic API versioning and backward-compatibility practices for zero-downtime feature delivery across multi-tenant customer environments.

Beyond production work, I strengthen my craft with CI/CD-ready personal projects and tested implementations (JUnit 5 at >80% coverage): Distributed Task Scheduler, E-Commerce Microservices Backend, and URL Shortener. I enjoy leading code reviews around SOLID and clean service boundaries, and I bring hands-on experience from my earlier backend and observability internship work.
