I am a Medical Laboratory Scientist trained at Bayero University Kano with hands-on experience across hematology, microbiology, histopathology and clinical chemistry. I have rotated through all laboratory sections and participated in specimen analysis, equipment maintenance and routine testing under supervision.
I have experience operating laboratory instruments including spectrophotometers, hematology analyzers, thermocyclers, electrophoretic apparatus, Selectra and BACTEC systems, and I am proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. I contributed to team-based hematological, microbiological and biochemical testing during undergraduate placements and internships.
My academic work includes a bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, a research project on quality assurance in rural and urban laboratories, and presentations on HLA in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and immunologic aspects of type 1 diabetes. I have volunteered and interned in clinical settings, supporting sample reception, processing and data entry into laboratory information systems.
