Adrian Sawdon
@adriansawdon
I lead safe, efficient rail freight terminals, operational readiness, and asset performance across complex rail networks.
What I'm looking for
At Saudi Arabian Railways, I lead rail freight operations, terminals, yards, safety, operational readiness and new rail business development in Dammam. I turn customer freight requirements into practical operating models, procedures, resource plans and commercial operations.
Previously, I supported Freightliner Middle East in integrating safety systems, methods of work and railway governance in Saudi Arabia, including accident investigation and senior-level auditing. At Freightliner UK, I managed major freight yard operations and competence arrangements for more than 820 operational employees, reducing personal accident frequency to 0.12 per 200,000 hours worked.
Across more than 30 years in UK and international rail, I’ve brought new and changed operations into service through planning, testing, training, mobilisation and assurance. I build accountable teams and workable operating arrangements that balance safety, performance, infrastructure capability and customer needs.
