@adrianahernndezcasta
Economist and demographer at UC Davis who studied labor, migration, and gender and co-authored California's statewide civil-service vacancies study.
What I'm looking for
At University of California, Davis, I conducted doctoral research on labor markets, migration, and gender across the US and Mexico, combining survey microdata with spatial demography.
At UC Berkeley Labor Center, I co-authored Civil Service Vacancies in California: 2022–2023, a statewide study of public-sector vacancies with policy recommendations on recruitment and retention.
At Cornell University's Program on Applied Demographics, I produced demographic analysis supporting New York State's official population-estimates program. State agencies used that work, which also informed the US Census Bureau estimates review process.
My research on labor markets, migration, and gender inequality has also included peer-reviewed work on the changing sex composition of US immigrant communities. I work in Spanish and English and am building my research portfolio in the open.
