Adenike Adeyokun
@adenikeadeyokun
Detail-oriented geologist leveraging geochemical and geospatial analysis to support hydrocarbon exploration decisions.
What I'm looking for
As a Technical Geologist at Dexter Roy Geoconsult Limited, I coordinate technical reporting and exploration decision-making across an ~250 km² project in Abia State, integrating geological mapping, geochemical sampling (150+ samples), and XRF analysis to delineate lead–zinc, kaolinite, industrial minerals, and hydrocarbon-bearing zones. I also lead targeted mapping and geochemical investigations in Ibadan, Oyo State for lithium-bearing pegmatites, using remote sensing and spatial analysis to identify high-potential lithium zones. Using ArcGIS, MapSource, Landsat imagery, XRF, and Oasis Montaj, I generate geochemical grids, geological and anomaly maps, and terrain models—and I translate these results into clear technical exploration reports for target prioritization and project development.
Earlier, as a Geoscience Undergraduate Intern at Crystal Age Laboratory, I administered foraminifera, palynomorphs, and calcareous nannofossil ditch-cutting samples, achieved 98% accuracy in fossil counts, and performed paleoenvironmental reconstruction for Eastern Benin Basin wells. I chart biostratigraphy using Stratabug to support geological interpretation, and I bring a collaborative, value-focused approach through leadership roles in petroleum exploration and mining/geoscience communities, while strengthening my analytics capabilities with Excel, SQL, Power BI, and Python training.

Technical Geologist
Dexter Roy Geoconsult Limited
Mar 2025 - Feb 2026 (11 months)
Coordinated technical reporting and decision-making for an exploration project in Abia State by integrating geological mapping, geochemical sampling, and XRF analysis to delineate mineral and hydrocarbon-bearing zones. Produced geochemical grids and exploration maps using ArcGIS, MapSource, Landsat imagery, and Oasis Montaj and prepared technical exploration reports.
Geoscience Undergraduate Intern
Crystal Age Laboratory
Jun 2023 - Nov 2023 (5 months)
Conducted laboratory sample administration and microscopic identification of foraminifera, palynomorphs, and calcareous nannofossils from ditch-cutting samples. Performed fossil counting, paleoenvironmental reconstruction, and biostratigraphic charting using Stratabug.
Undergraduate Intern
Ministry of Works
Jun 2015 - Oct 2015 (4 months)
Assisted with collecting and preparing material samples (e.g., soil, concrete, asphalt) for laboratory testing to support engineering compliance. Performed routine tests such as compressive strength testing and gradation analysis on aggregates under supervision.
