At Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, I teach physician assistant students and coordinate Procedures and Diagnostics courses spanning clinical assessment, procedural skills, and point-of-care ultrasound.
I'm also a Physician Assistant in Osteopathic Surgical Specialties at Michigan State University Health Care. Previously, I practiced in emergency medicine and vascular access at Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital, where I also directed the Medication Assisted Treatment Team.
My teaching and presentations cover laceration repair, suturing, casting and splinting, trauma, opioid use disorder, respiratory disease, urology, and emergency care. I was recognized with Michigan State University's 2024 Educator of the Year and Excellence in Education awards.
I contribute to physician assistant education through curriculum, admissions, promotion, and professional association committees. My research includes point-of-care sonography education, academic outcomes in PA education, and community health initiatives, and I have published in JAAPA and Open Health.
