Adam Schwehn

I’m a pre-dental graduate from IU Indianapolis’ B.S. Health Sciences program, bringing academic and clinic experience plus 600+ hours of shadowing across general dentistry, OMFS, and orthodontics. I learn fast in real-world settings and use what I see clinically to strengthen how I support patients and teams.

In my campus roles, I’ve served as an IU Indianapolis Peer Advisor, helping with student outreach and planning student-focused events while answering advising questions. I also work as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for HLSC-H 100 and HLSC-H 200/210/250, mentoring first-year students, hosting exam review sessions, tutoring individuals, and assisting with grading to keep learners confident and on track.

Through my scholarship work in Teaching and Learning—including metacognition, scoping review, and active learning in health science learning communities—I’ve developed a thoughtful approach to education and improvement. In clinic, as a Dental Assistant at Turtle Town Dental, I shadowed and assisted with crowns, fillings, extractions, and root canals—building strong manual dexterity and comfort in procedure-focused environments.
