Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wind Turbine Maintenance Supervisor to lead our remote maintenance operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the maintenance and repair of wind turbine systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards. Your expertise will be crucial in developing strategic maintenance plans and fostering a culture of safety and efficiency among our teams.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for wind turbine systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and best practices
- Develop and implement preventative and corrective maintenance strategies to enhance turbine reliability and performance
- Lead and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance on technical issues and promoting professional development
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of turbine performance, identifying areas for improvement
- Manage maintenance budgets and resources effectively, optimizing operational costs while maintaining high-quality standards
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate new technologies and improve maintenance processes
- Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities and compliance with regulatory requirements
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in wind turbine maintenance or a similar technical field
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing maintenance teams
- Strong knowledge of wind turbine systems, components, and maintenance practices
- Ability to analyze complex technical problems and implement effective solutions
Preferred:
- Experience with SCADA systems and data analysis tools for performance monitoring
- Certifications related to wind turbine technology or maintenance (e.g., GWO, OSHA)
- Familiarity with renewable energy regulations and industry standards
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep understanding of wind turbine technology, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools for tracking work orders and inventory
- Experience with condition monitoring systems and predictive maintenance techniques
