Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Wildlife Control Agent to join our dedicated team focused on human-wildlife conflict resolution. In this role, you will assist in the safe and humane management of wildlife, ensuring the protection of both the environment and the communities we serve.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the identification and assessment of wildlife-related issues in residential and commercial properties.
- Support senior agents in the implementation of humane wildlife control strategies and techniques.
- Participate in the monitoring and documenting of wildlife activity and control methods.
- Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of reports on wildlife encounters and control efforts.
- Educate clients on wildlife behavior and prevention techniques to minimize future conflicts.
- Maintain and ensure the functionality of equipment and tools used in wildlife control operations.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interest in wildlife management and ecology.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding situations.
Preferred:
- Experience or coursework in wildlife biology, environmental science, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of local wildlife species and their behaviors.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with wildlife control tools and equipment, including traps and monitoring devices.
- Proficiency in using smartphones and tablets for reporting and documentation purposes.
