Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief Wildlife and Game Protector to lead our conservation efforts in preserving biodiversity and managing wildlife resources effectively. In this strategic role, you will oversee the development and implementation of policies and initiatives aimed at protecting wildlife and their habitats while ensuring sustainable use of wildlife resources.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate wildlife conservation programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with national and international conservation standards.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive wildlife management plans that balance ecological integrity with stakeholder needs.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform decision-making and policy development regarding wildlife protection and habitat management.
- Collaborate with governmental agencies, NGOs, and local communities to promote conservation strategies and raise awareness of wildlife protection issues.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with wildlife laws and regulations, providing guidance and oversight to field staff.
- Manage and mentor a team of wildlife professionals, fostering a culture of excellence in conservation practices.
- Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting program successes and areas for improvement.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Wildlife Biology, Conservation Science, Environmental Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in wildlife conservation, management, or a related field, with a proven track record in leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of wildlife laws, regulations, and conservation policies.
- Experience in project management, including budgeting, resource allocation, and evaluation.
Preferred:
- Ph.D. in a relevant field.
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, indigenous communities, and non-profit organizations.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and GIS applications.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep expertise in wildlife management techniques and conservation strategies.
- Experience with environmental impact assessments and wildlife monitoring technologies.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical software and database management.
