Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Predator Control Assistant to join our team, focused on wildlife management and conservation efforts. In this role, you will support the development and implementation of predator control strategies aimed at protecting vulnerable species and maintaining ecological balance. Responsibilities
- Assist in the monitoring and assessment of predator populations and their impact on targeted species
- Support the implementation of predator management techniques in accordance with established guidelines and protocols
- Collect and analyze data related to wildlife populations and habitat conditions
- Coordinate with field teams to ensure timely execution of control measures and monitoring activities
- Engage with local communities to promote awareness and understanding of predator control initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of field activities, including observations, data collection, and equipment usage
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Management, Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field
- Experience in field research or wildlife management, particularly in predator control
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data collection and analysis
Preferred:
- Hands-on experience with wildlife tracking and monitoring techniques
- Familiarity with GIS technologies and wildlife management software
- Knowledge of local ecosystems and conservation issues
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in data management software and statistical analysis tools
- Experience with GPS and remote sensing technologies
- Ability to utilize field equipment for wildlife monitoring and data collection
