Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and empathetic Director of Wellness Nursing to lead our nursing team in delivering exceptional patient care and wellness services. This role is integral in shaping our clinical practices, ensuring high standards of care, and enhancing the overall patient experience while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the nursing staff.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that align with best practices and regulatory standards, ensuring safe and effective patient care
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of nursing professionals, promoting a culture of learning, collaboration, and innovation
- Oversee patient care operations, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives
- Establish and monitor performance metrics for nursing staff, facilitating ongoing evaluations and feedback
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative leadership to optimize patient outcomes and operational efficiency
- Engage with community stakeholders to promote wellness initiatives and enhance public health education
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Nursing or a related field
- Current nursing license and certification in the state of practice
- 8+ years of nursing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a healthcare setting
- Demonstrated expertise in clinical practice, patient care management, and healthcare operations
Preferred:
- Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) or equivalent
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction programs
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and data analysis
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Strong knowledge of nursing theories, principles, and best practices
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards
- Competence in clinical data management and health informatics tools
