Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and passionate Director of Volunteer Services to lead our volunteer program and enhance our community engagement initiatives. Responsibilities
- Design and execute a comprehensive volunteer recruitment strategy that attracts a diverse array of candidates
- Oversee the development and implementation of volunteer training programs that emphasize skill-building and personal growth
- Establish and maintain relationships with community organizations to create partnerships that support volunteer efforts
- Evaluate and measure the impact of volunteer programs through data analysis and feedback mechanisms, ensuring continuous improvement
- Lead a team of volunteer coordinators, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities
- Manage the volunteer program budget and resources effectively to maximize program impact
- Promote volunteer opportunities through various channels, including social media, community events, and outreach initiatives
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 7+ years of experience in volunteer management, community engagement, or nonprofit leadership roles
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful volunteer programs
- Strong understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles as they relate to volunteerism
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire volunteers
Preferred:
- Experience with volunteer management software and data tracking systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional collaborations
- Experience in fundraising or grant writing to support volunteer initiatives
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
