Responsibilities

- Establish best practices for VoIP engineering, including coding standards, testing protocols, and deployment processes

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in VoIP engineering, including hands-on experience with SIP, RTP, and related protocols
- Proven track record of managing engineering teams in a fast-paced environment
- Deep understanding of VoIP architecture, deployment, and troubleshooting
- Experience with cloud-based VoIP solutions and telephony systems
Preferred:
- Familiarity with network protocols and security practices in VoIP
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications industry standards and regulations
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in VoIP platforms such as Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, or similar
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ for automation and integration tasks
- Experience with network monitoring tools and VoIP analytics software
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
