Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary Executive Director of Student Services to lead and innovate our student support strategies, ensuring exceptional experiences that foster academic success and personal growth. In this pivotal role, you'll drive the development and execution of comprehensive student service programs that enhance engagement, retention, and overall satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic vision for student services that aligns with the institution's mission and goals
- Lead a diverse team of professionals in delivering high-quality support services, including academic advising, counseling, and career services
- Establish metrics for evaluating program effectiveness and implement continuous improvement processes
- Collaborate with faculty and administration to create a supportive and inclusive campus environment
- Advocate for student needs and represent their interests in institutional decision-making processes
- Manage budgetary allocations and resources to optimize service delivery
- Foster partnerships with external organizations and stakeholders to enhance student opportunities and support
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in education, counseling, student affairs, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in student services or higher education administration
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing student support programs
- Strong understanding of student development theory and best practices in student engagement
Preferred:
- Doctoral degree in a related field
- Experience with data-driven decision-making and program evaluation
- Proven track record of fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within student services
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in student information systems and data analytics tools
- Experience with online learning platforms and student engagement technologies
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
