Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and strategic Assistant Director of Student Services to enhance our commitment to student success and engagement. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the student experience by developing innovative programs and services that support academic achievement and personal growth.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive student services programs that address the diverse needs of our student population
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and stakeholders to foster an inclusive and supportive campus environment
- Analyze student data and feedback to inform program development and improve service delivery
- Provide leadership and guidance to student services staff, promoting professional development and best practices
- Develop and manage budgets associated with student services initiatives
- Oversee the coordination of events and workshops aimed at enhancing student engagement and retention
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in student services or a related area within higher education
- Strong understanding of student development theory and best practices in service delivery
- Proven track record of program development and implementation
Preferred:
- Experience in a leadership role within student services
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and build strong relationships
- Knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies to assess program effectiveness
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in student information systems and data management tools
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems
- Familiarity with online learning platforms and student engagement technologies
Soft Skills and Cultural Fit
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse student populations
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Commitment to fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect
