Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Sports Physical Therapy to lead our rehabilitation services team. This role is essential in establishing a high standard of care for our athletes, guiding clinical excellence, and driving innovative rehabilitation programs that enhance performance and recovery. Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the sports physical therapy department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to athletes at all levels.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based rehabilitation protocols tailored to individual patient needs, focusing on injury prevention and performance enhancement.
- Mentor and support a team of physical therapists, fostering professional development and promoting best practices within the department.
- Collaborate with coaches, trainers, and medical staff to create comprehensive treatment plans and rehabilitation strategies.
- Conduct regular assessments of patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly to maximize recovery and performance.
- Stay current with advancements in sports medicine and rehabilitation techniques to continually enhance departmental offerings.

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- A minimum of 7 years of clinical experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a sports physical therapy setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in sports rehabilitation, injury management, and performance enhancement strategies.
Preferred:
- Board certification in Sports Physical Therapy (SCS) or equivalent specialization.
- Experience working with collegiate or professional athletes.
- Strong background in research and clinical education, with a commitment to advancing the field through evidence-based practices.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in rehabilitation technologies and modalities, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise, and modalities for pain management.
- Experience utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems for patient documentation and management.
- Familiarity with performance analysis tools and injury prevention software.
