Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Specifications Writer to join our dynamic team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities

- Conduct regular reviews of specifications with stakeholders and incorporate feedback to enhance accuracy and completeness.
- Mentor and guide junior writers in best practices for specifications writing and documentation management.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather input from technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in technical writing, with a focus on specifications documentation for software or hardware products.
- Demonstrated ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, concise documents.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in documentation tools such as Confluence, MadCap Flare, or similar.
Preferred:
- Experience leading documentation initiatives in a hybrid work environment.
- Familiarity with user experience (UX) principles and the ability to incorporate user-centered design into specifications.
- Knowledge of API documentation and technical specifications for integration projects.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in technical writing tools and software, including Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Proficient in using version control systems for documentation management, such as Git.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Java is a plus.
