Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Adjunct Professor of Sociocultural Anthropology to join our esteemed faculty. In this role, you will engage with students in a dynamic and interactive classroom environment, delivering high-quality educational experiences that promote critical thinking, cultural awareness, and interdisciplinary connections within the field of anthropology.
Responsibilities
- Develop and teach undergraduate courses in sociocultural anthropology that emphasize theoretical frameworks, research methodologies, and contemporary issues
- Create inclusive syllabi and course materials that reflect diverse perspectives and encourage student engagement
- Foster a stimulating learning environment through active discussions, group projects, and experiential learning opportunities
- Evaluate student performance through various assessment methods, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth
- Collaborate with faculty and academic departments to ensure alignment with broader educational goals and curriculum standards
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the academic community through research, publishing, and service
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in Sociocultural Anthropology or a closely related field
- Demonstrated teaching experience at the university level, with a commitment to student-centered pedagogy
- Strong understanding of current sociocultural issues and theoretical approaches within anthropology
Preferred:
- Experience integrating technology and innovative teaching methods in the classroom
- Record of published research in reputable academic journals or presentations at professional conferences

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
