Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Assistant Professor of Social Organization to join our dynamic faculty. This fully remote position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the academic community while advancing research and teaching in the field of social organization. Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver high-quality courses in social organization, including both undergraduate and graduate levels
- Conduct original research that contributes to the field and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals
- Supervise and mentor students in their academic and professional development
- Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with colleagues across various departments and fields
- Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and outreach initiatives
- Contribute to the development of innovative teaching methods and course materials
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Ph.D. in Sociology, Social Organization, or a related field
- Demonstrated expertise in social organization theories and methodologies
- Evidence of scholarly research and publications in reputable academic journals
- Strong commitment to teaching excellence and student engagement
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and adapt to new technologies
Preferred:
- Experience teaching online courses and using digital platforms for education
- Track record of securing research funding or grants
- Experience in community-engaged scholarship or applied research
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in online teaching tools and learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard)
- Familiarity with statistical software and data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, R, NVivo)
- Experience with digital research methods and data visualization
