Role Overview
We are seeking a distinguished and innovative academic leader to fill the position of Endowed Chair in Social Organization. This role is central to advancing research, teaching, and community engagement within the field of social organization. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute significantly to the intellectual life of the institution, leading interdisciplinary initiatives and fostering collaboration among faculty and students.
Responsibilities
- Lead and conduct cutting-edge research in social organization, addressing contemporary challenges and contributing to theoretical advancements in the field.
- Develop and teach graduate and undergraduate courses that inspire and equip students with critical thinking and analytical skills related to social structures, organizations, and communities.
- Foster partnerships with external organizations to facilitate research initiatives and community engagement projects.
- Mentor junior faculty and graduate students, fostering a collaborative and inclusive academic environment.
- Publish research findings in leading academic journals and present at national and international conferences.
- Contribute to the development of strategic plans that enhance the institution’s impact and visibility in social organization research.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Ph.D. in Sociology, Social Science, or a related field.
- A distinguished record of scholarship in social organization, with demonstrated impact through publications and research funding.
- Experience in curriculum development and teaching at the university level.

Preferred:
- Experience in interdisciplinary research and collaboration.
