Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Short Order Fry Cook to join our culinary team, responsible for efficiently preparing high-quality fried foods in a fast-paced environment. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the kitchen's operational excellence while ensuring food safety and quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of fried foods including fries, onion rings, and other menu items, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to safety and sanitation protocols at all times.
- Monitor and manage cooking times to ensure all food is cooked to perfection and served promptly.
- Assist in inventory management by keeping track of supplies and notifying the kitchen manager of low stock.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and effective communication.
- Stay updated on menu changes and new cooking techniques to continuously improve your skills and contribute to menu innovation.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Proven experience as a fry cook or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
Preferred:
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent training.
