Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Lead Server Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service delivery and operational efficiency within our restaurant environment, while fostering a collaborative culture among the front-of-house staff. Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the activities of the server assistant team to maintain high standards of service and efficiency
- Oversee the setup, cleanliness, and organization of dining areas, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards
- Assist servers during peak hours to optimize service flow and enhance guest experiences
- Train and mentor new team members on best practices, company standards, and menu knowledge
- Collaborate with management to implement operational strategies that boost team performance and customer satisfaction
- Handle guest inquiries and feedback promptly, ensuring resolution and satisfaction
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in a high-volume restaurant environment, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including food safety and sanitation regulations
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a positive attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and guest service
Preferred:
- Experience with inventory management and scheduling software
- Certification in food handling or safety
- Prior experience in a remote work environment or managing remote teams
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and scheduling tools
- Knowledge of restaurant management software and online reservation systems
