Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Security to lead our global security initiatives and ensure the integrity of our systems and data. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive security strategies, policies, and processes that safeguard our organization against emerging threats while fostering a culture of security awareness.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the organization's security strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the implementation of security policies, procedures, and controls to protect sensitive data and critical infrastructure.
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability assessments, identifying potential security risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the product development lifecycle and operational processes.
- Establish and maintain incident response and disaster recovery plans to ensure swift action during security incidents.
- Advise executive leadership on security trends, risks, and investments, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Foster a security-conscious culture through training programs and awareness initiatives across the organization.
- Manage and mentor a high-performing security team, promoting professional development and growth.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Deep expertise in security frameworks, standards, and compliance (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA).
- Proven track record of developing and executing security strategies that align with business objectives.
- Strong understanding of network, application, and cloud security principles and technologies.
- Experience with incident response, threat hunting, and vulnerability management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent).
- Experience in industries with stringent regulatory requirements (e.g., finance, healthcare).
- Knowledge of emerging cybersecurity technologies and trends, including AI/ML applications in security.
- Experience in managing security budgets and vendor relationships.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Experience with cloud security in platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools.
