Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Security Manager to join our dynamic security team. In this pivotal role, you will assist in developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and strategies to ensure the safety of our organizational assets and personnel. You will work closely with senior management and various departments to foster a culture of security awareness and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and implementation of security protocols and procedures to mitigate risks and protect company assets
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, providing timely and effective resolution
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services to maintain effective communication and response strategies
- Facilitate training sessions for staff on security policies, procedures, and emergency response
- Maintain accurate records of security incidents and investigations, preparing reports for management review
- Support the development and maintenance of security awareness programs across the organization
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in security management or a related field
- Knowledge of security operations, risk management, and emergency response procedures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically in high-pressure situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience in a leadership role within a security team
- Certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP)
- Familiarity with security technology systems and software
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in security systems including access control, CCTV, and alarm systems
- Understanding of data protection regulations and compliance requirements
- Familiarity with incident management software and reporting tools
