Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Sanitation Manager to lead our sanitation efforts in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sanitation programs that ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness across our operational facilities. You will play a key role in fostering a culture of safety and hygiene while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement sanitation protocols and procedures that comply with local, state, and federal regulations
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to sanitation standards and identify areas for improvement
- Lead training sessions for staff on sanitation practices and safety protocols, emphasizing the importance of cleanliness and hygiene
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address sanitation-related issues and implement corrective actions
- Monitor sanitation supplies and equipment, ensuring they are properly maintained and available for use
- Analyze sanitation data and prepare reports for management, providing insights on compliance and operational efficiency
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in sanitation management or a related field, preferably within food production or manufacturing environments
- In-depth knowledge of sanitation regulations and best practices
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Food Science, or a related field
- Experience with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) programs
- Proficiency in sanitation compliance software
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in sanitation processes and methodologies
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and their safe application
- Experience with data management systems for tracking sanitation compliance
