Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Room Service Manager to oversee and enhance the in-room dining experience for our guests. In this fully remote position, you will be responsible for managing the room service operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and leading a team of dedicated staff to maintain our commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement room service procedures and standards to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Monitor and analyze service metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and enhance operational efficiency
- Collaborate with the culinary team to curate and update the room service menu, ensuring it meets guest preferences and dietary requirements
- Lead, train, and mentor room service staff, fostering a culture of exceptional service
- Manage inventory and ordering for room service supplies, including food, beverages, and equipment
- Handle guest inquiries and feedback in a professional manner, resolving issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in hotel or restaurant management, with a focus on room service operations
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and development
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience with budgeting and financial management related to food and beverage services
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Proficiency in using property management systems and point-of-sale systems
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with food and beverage service management software
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports to track performance metrics
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for budgeting and forecasting
