Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary and strategic VP of Reimbursement who will spearhead our reimbursement strategies, ensuring that our innovative healthcare solutions are accessible and financially viable for patients and providers. This leadership role will be integral in shaping our reimbursement policies and engaging with key stakeholders to drive reimbursement pathways that support our mission.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive reimbursement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives, ensuring the financial sustainability of our healthcare offerings.
- Lead cross-functional teams to analyze reimbursement trends, formulary access, and market dynamics, translating insights into actionable strategies.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with payers, government agencies, and industry stakeholders to advocate for our products and secure favorable reimbursement outcomes.
- Oversee the preparation of reimbursement submissions, ensuring quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of reimbursement strategies, adapting approaches based on data-driven insights and changing market conditions.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing reimbursement team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in reimbursement, market access, or related fields within the healthcare sector.
- Proven track record of successfully navigating complex reimbursement environments and achieving favorable outcomes.
- Strong understanding of healthcare policies, regulations, and payer landscapes.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a history of developing talent and driving team success.
Preferred:
- Experience in a senior leadership role within a biopharmaceutical or medical device company.
- Advanced degree (MBA, MHA, or similar) is highly desirable.
- Established network of relationships with key stakeholders in the reimbursement and payer landscape.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep familiarity with reimbursement processes, coding, and billing practices.
- Proficient in data analysis and interpretation to inform strategic decision-making.
- Experience with health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) to support reimbursement initiatives.
