Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing logistics processes, ensuring timely delivery of products, and maintaining efficient inventory management. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and drive cost savings while delivering exceptional service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with the overall business objectives and enhance operational performance.
- Oversee the end-to-end logistics processes, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and negotiate contracts to ensure service levels and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales teams to ensure accurate demand forecasting and inventory planning.
- Lead and mentor the logistics team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management with a proven track record of success.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with logistics management software and ERP systems.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Experience in managing logistics for a fast-paced, high-growth company.
- Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in logistics management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar systems).
- Strong Excel skills, including experience with data analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
