Role Overview
We are looking for an Assistant Receiving Manager to support our supply chain operations at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities

- Oversee the inspection of incoming products for quality assurance and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming shipments and inventory levels using inventory management systems.
- Train and mentor receiving staff, promoting best practices in inventory management and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other departments, including procurement and logistics, to streamline operations and resolve issues.
- Implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the receiving process.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in a receiving or warehouse management role.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts.
Preferred:
- Experience in a leadership role within a warehouse or receiving environment.
- Knowledge of compliance and safety regulations related to inventory management.
- Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and electronic data interchange (EDI).
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools to track inventory metrics.
- Ability to leverage technology for optimizing receiving workflows.
