Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Media Buying Manager specializing in Radio to join our dynamic marketing team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in media planning and buying to optimize our radio advertising spend, ensuring maximum reach and effectiveness across diverse audience segments. You'll play a critical role in shaping our media strategy and driving brand awareness through innovative radio campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive radio media buying strategies aligned with our marketing objectives and target audience demographics.
- Analyze market trends and audience insights to identify optimal radio stations and programs for advertising placements.
- Negotiate and manage media contracts to secure favorable rates and placements, ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints.
- Collaborate with creative teams to develop compelling ad content that resonates with target audiences and elevates brand messaging.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with radio station representatives and media vendors to enhance partnership opportunities.
- Stay informed of industry developments, emerging trends, and competitor strategies to inform media buying decisions.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in media buying, with a strong focus on radio advertising.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and optimizing radio advertising campaigns.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to cultivate lasting relationships with media partners.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in interpreting data and deriving insights to inform decision-making.
Preferred:
- Experience working with digital audio platforms and integrating radio advertising with broader digital marketing strategies.
- Familiarity with programmatic media buying and its application in radio advertising.
- Relevant bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in media buying tools and software, such as MediaOcean or Strata.
- Strong understanding of radio metrics, including GRPs, TRPs, and reach and frequency analysis.
- Experience with data analytics tools to assess campaign performance and drive strategic insights.
