Role Overview
We are looking for a strategic and innovative Director of Media Buying to lead our media strategy and execution across multiple channels. In this pivotal role, you will leverage data-driven insights to optimize media investments, enhance brand visibility, and drive customer engagement. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement comprehensive media plans that align with our overall marketing objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a holistic media buying strategy that maximizes reach and effectiveness across digital and traditional platforms
- Lead the media buying team, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Analyze media performance metrics and adjust strategies in real-time to optimize campaign effectiveness and ROI
- Negotiate and manage relationships with media vendors, ensuring favorable pricing and quality placements
- Collaborate with data analytics and marketing teams to integrate insights into media planning and execution
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 8+ years of experience in media buying, with a proven track record of managing large-scale media campaigns
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and drive actionable insights
- Expertise in digital media platforms, programmatic buying, and traditional media channels
- Demonstrated negotiation skills with media partners and vendors
Preferred:
- Experience in a fast-paced agency environment or a high-growth organization
- Proficiency with media planning tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Datorama, etc.)
- Understanding of multi-channel attribution and measurement frameworks
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep expertise in digital marketing tools and technologies, including programmatic platforms and social media advertising
- Experience with A/B testing methodologies and campaign optimization techniques
- Proficient in Excel and data visualization tools for reporting and analysis
