Role Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced Director of Quality Control to lead our quality assurance initiatives and establish a culture of quality across our organization. In this strategically significant role, you will oversee the development and implementation of quality control policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement in our processes and products.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive quality control strategy that aligns with business goals and regulatory requirements
- Lead and mentor the quality control team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
- Oversee the design and implementation of quality metrics, monitoring systems, and reporting mechanisms to track quality performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify quality improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and internal policies
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to quality standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related matters, interfacing with external partners, regulators, and stakeholders
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in quality control or quality assurance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to quality control
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in quality management tools and systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive cultural change
- Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences
Preferred:
- Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices)
- Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Quality Management, Engineering, Life Sciences)
- Certification from recognized quality organizations (e.g., ASQ, Six Sigma)
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in quality management systems and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, Lean, Six Sigma)
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software for quality metrics tracking
- Experience with risk management methodologies and tools
