Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Public Health Administrator to support our mission of enhancing community health through effective program management and strategic planning. In this fully remote position, you will play a crucial role in coordinating public health initiatives, analyzing health data, and collaborating with various stakeholders to improve health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of public health programs and policies that address community health needs
- Conduct data analysis and interpret public health data to inform decision-making processes
- Coordinate with local health departments, community organizations, and other stakeholders to facilitate program execution
- Prepare reports and presentations on public health initiatives, outcomes, and recommendations for stakeholders
- Support grant writing and funding proposals to secure resources for public health projects
- Engage with communities to promote public health education and awareness initiatives
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in public health program management or administration.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field.
- Experience working in a public health agency or non-profit organization.
- Familiarity with community health assessments and strategic planning processes.
- Knowledge of health equity and social determinants of health.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, or similar tools).
- Experience with project management software and collaborative tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Slack).
- Understanding of public health information systems and data management practices.
